A non-refundable Damage Protection Fee is collected to cover replacement and repair costs up to $1000 should any accidental damage occur during your stay. This non-refundable fee replaces the tradition practice of placing a security deposit hold on your credit card.
The Damage Protection Fee covers damages during the authorized rental period caused by guest listed on the reservation. Damage must be reported to the property management company before check out. We will attempt to fix the problem before you leave, or if you prefer we will fix it after your stay. Up to $1000 coverage per stay is provided to cover damage to a Cottage, Cottage contents such as appliances, windows, furniture, fixtures, etc., or to the Anchorage Cottages common areas and properties such as BBQs, games, sports equipment, etc. Renters are responsible for damages exceeding $1,000 per stay. Damages for claims above $1,000 will be charged to the Renter’s credit card.
The Damage Protection Fee does not cover the following:
- The Damage Protection Fee does not cover damage to or loss of guest personal items.
- The Damage Protection Fee does not provide liability coverage.
- The Damage Protection Fee does not cover Guest vehicles or contents in a vehicle.
- The Damage Protection Fee does not cover items that have been removed or lost from a cottages. This including but is not limited to towels, dishes, art work, decorations, etc.
- The Damage Protection Fee does not cover damage related to deliberate or gross negligence. This includes but is not limited to damages caused by:
- Smoking
- Pets
- Parties
- The Damage Protection Fee does not cover damage to neighboring properties or structures.
